The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), in partnership with the local governments of Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, will be hosting the highly anticipated Siquijor and Negros Island Business Week 2025 from July 2 to 8 at SM North Wing, Bredco, Bacolod City. With the theme “The Vibrance of Business in Siquijor and Negros Island Region,” the event will shine a spotlight on regional innovation, partnerships, and the growing potential of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The weeklong celebration will officially open on July 2, with key regional leaders expected to deliver messages of support—including the governors of the three provinces and Bacolod City’s mayor. National agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will also be represented. A ceremonial ribbon cutting, hot chocolate toast, and induction of new MBCCI members will highlight the program.
Throughout the week, a diverse lineup of exhibitors from agribusiness, coffee and food, wellness, finance, weaving, furniture, academe, utilities, and transport industries will be showcasing their products and services. Attendees can also expect daily lectures, advocacy presentations, and a fashion show highlighting local fabrics and designs.
The event will culminate with the Economic Drivers Forum on July 8 at SMX Bacolod, where key business and government leaders will present insights into infrastructure development, energy distribution, agriculture, aquaculture, and transportation. Speakers will include representatives from Negros Power Corporation, Metro Pacific Agro Ventures, the Sugar Regulatory Administration, Vallacar Transit Inc., and the Department of Public Works and Highways.
MBCCI invites all stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and citizens to participate and support this regional milestone in economic collaboration and innovation.
